Walk out of the apartment and you have a choice of two stretches of golden sand. On the left is Elie and Earlsferry beach which has a Blue flag accreditation and is kept spotlessly clean. And on the other side is Ruby cove – quieter and very beautiful.

100m away is a well equipped Watersports Centre where you can hire everything from sailing boats to mountain bikes. Elie’s sheltered harbour is ideal for sailing and windsurfing.

Elie simply has everything you want for a wonderful holiday. A stunning 18 hole golf course that skirts the sea, a Sports Club with excellent tennis courts, driving range and 9 hole course. The Pavilion café at the Sports Club is perfect for a hearty breakfast or a relaxing afternoon tea.

Elie’s wide High Street has a small selection of shops – but they are all very good and have everything you need: grocer, deli, newsagent, pharmacy and several antique shops.

The Ship Inn is famous throughout Scotland as the pub where they play cricket on the beach in the summer! It has a large outside veranda overlooking the beach and serves good food. There are several other very good pubs and restaurants in and around Elie.

With the Fife coastal walk and the pretty East Neuk fishing villages of Pittenween, Anstruther and Crail there is much to enjoy and explore.

Edinburgh is only one hour’s drive away (perfect for a day out) and St Andrews can be reached in just 20 minutes.
