The apartment is filled with natural light and has breathtaking sea views on all sides.
The internal arrangement has been specifically designed as the perfect holiday home.
There are two enormous double height living spaces at each end, one with an open fire and the other with a wood burning stove. They are connected by a long 70’ gallery with six balcony doors overlooking the sea.
The apartment has two good-sized double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. There is also a family bathroom and a utility room.
The upper area is a 700’ft open plan mezzanine deck with six single beds – designed specifically as the perfect children’s den, but with beds big enough for adults too.
The fully equipped minimalist Italian Dada kitchen is set off with a sleek stainless steel top with sculpted sink and a floating glass hob.
Furniture in the apartment is of a very high standard – with the Jasper Morrison wavy sofa being possibly the most comfortable in the world. The apartment has under floor heating throughout.
The apartment has won three prestigious design awards: Scottish Design Council Best Domestic Interior 2003, Saltire Society Best House in Scotland 2003 and Design Award 2002 from the Glasgow Institute of Architects.
The Granary has been featured in Elle Decoration, Homes and Interiors Scotland and the Daily Mail among many other publications. Click here for the Homes and Interiors PDF file.
Oh! I nearly forgot to mention the full sized table tennis table, the boxes of children’s toys and games, the LCD flat screen TV and library of holiday reading books.
